Canadian tour bus crashes in New Jersey

A chartered tour bus from Toronto heading to New York City overturned on an exit ramp Saturday morning injuring at least 19 people.

The bus was on a northern New Jersey highway when it overturned and slid down an embankment landing on its side with about 60 passengers inside. There are reports that the driver of the bus said he was cut off by another car, but that has not been confirmed.

Some of the bus’ windows were blown out in the crash pinning some of the passengers, who were a part of a church group. There are reports luggage was thrown around the bus striking some of the passengers.

Eight passengers were critically injured, but police say none of the injuries are life-threatening. The investigation is still ongoing.
