Canadian terror suspect freed

A Canadian sentenced to 18 months in prison after being convicted of having terrorist ties to Al-Qaida will be freed.

24-year-old Aaron Yoon of London, Ontario was arrested in December 2011. He’s been sitting in a Mauritania Prison since being sentenced to two years for taking part in a terror attack on a natural gas plant in Algeria that resulted in the deaths of 66 people.

An official says Yoon is being freed, because he’s already served his time.
