In just two weeks, Canadian rock legends Sloan and Big Wreck will be taking the stage live for the 4th Annual CHCH New Year’s Eve special.

It’s a two-and-a-half-hour extravaganza starting at 10 p.m., on Dec. 31, and the host for “The Countdown to 2026” is once again the icon of the Canadian music scene George Stroumboulopoulos.

CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram sat down with the host on what can be expected to happen during the event, and his thoughts on the headlining performances.

Stroumboulopoulos talked about the evolution of Canadian rock, Sloan and Big Wreck’s part in it and what he thinks the bands are doing that allows them to connect with people.
