Hamilton police confirm that the Canadian man arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is wanted for multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Charles Billone, 64, was arrested by ICE last Tuesday in Santa Cruz, Calif.

He has been the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant since 1991.

San Francisco officers say Billone is in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.

Hamilton police say there are no extradition proceedings at this time, as they work closely with the Crown’s Office.
