Canada’s Wonderland to open in May with thousands of new seasonal hires

Canada’s Wonderland announced Wednesday it plans to hire 4,000 seasonal associates in time for its opening on May 3.

The amusement park in Vaughan, Ont., will begin filling roles during a week-long hiring event by their parent company Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, to fill more than 50,000 positions in parks across North America.

Canada’s Wonderland is hiring for positions across all departments including food and beverage, ride operators, sales associates for merchandise and games, and as lifeguards.

Applications are also open for entertainment and safety rehires positions.

“We may be in the cold depths of winter, but we’re excited about the fun in store this season and have hiring efforts already underway,” said Taneshia Khan, director of human resources at Canada’s Wonderland.

The amusement park says hourly pay starts at $16.60 for students under 18-years-old, and $17.60 for people 18 years old or older.

Interested applicants must be at least 15 years old, and age requirements may change depending on the position.
