VIDEO: Canada’s top doctor provided an update today on the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and what it means for Canadians.

She says the risk to people in Canada is considered low at this time, but protective measures have still been put in place.

Dr. Joss Reimer says a person in Ontario tested negative for Ebola after returning from Ethiopia.

She said the test was a precaution after the individual showed symptoms consistent with the disease, serving as an example of the protective measures recently put into place.
