Campaigning enters second day across Ontario
Party leaders are campaigning across the the province today, with Dalton McGuinty making his rounds in southwestern Ontario.
The Liberal leader is at The University of Western Ontario in London, to announce his party’s commitment to clean energy jobs. He will then head to Woodstock for a clean energy speech at the Toyota plant, before speaking with Ontario Liberal volunteers in Burlington this evening.
Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak will talk to media in Nepean, before attending a photo-op in the Ottawa suburb of Gloucester. Hudak will then campaign in Belleville this afternoon, and in Peterborough tonight.
Andrea Horwath is in Northern Ontario today. The Ontario New Democratic Party leader is at Laurentian University in Sudbury this morning. She will then head to Sturgeon Falls and a labour centre in Thunder Bay.
The campaign kicked off yesterday with Liberals and PCs on the attack. The Liberals called Hudak “Tea Party Tim,” with Hudak accusing McGuinty of wasting tax dollars. Horwath said she won’t play attack politics, and is campaigning on policies and issues.
