A Scarborough man is facing dangerous driving charges after colliding with a hydro pole.
Police say two cars were seen travelling southbound through the Aberdeen and Queen St. South intersection around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The vehicles were apparently driving side-by-side as they continued south until the driver of a 2018 black Honda Civic crashed into a cable pole.
Police responded to the scene where they found the car rolled over and the pole broken in half.
The driver sustained minor injuries. He has been charged with dangerous operation, and failure to comply with probation.
The 21-year-old man was released on a promise to appear in court. He is expected to attend John Sopinka Courthouse on June 20.
Queen St. South was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Police are asking for anyone with more information to call 905-546-4725.
