The Lakeshore West GO Train line between the Oakville GO and West Harbour GO stations will be entirely replaced by bus service this weekend as ongoing track maintenance and infrastructure upgrades continue.

Metrolinx says the Lakeshore West rail service will only run between Union Station and Oakville starting Friday.

Service on the line between the Oakville GO and West Harbour GO stations will be replaced by GO buses.

Oakville GO will also be running hourly shuttles for customers wishing to access Appleby GO or Bronte GO stations.

Also, the train heading to Niagara Falls GO on Friday at 10:50 p.m. is starting at Aldershot GO.

Customers traveling to Niagara Falls from Union Station are recommended to take the 10:17 p.m. Lakeshore West train to connect with the Niagara Falls bound train departing at Aldershot GO.

The temporary service disruptions are caused by work being done in that area to expand GO Train service, part of the GO Expansion program.

Regular train service is expected to resume on Monday.
