Burlington’s Karina Gould to run for Liberal leadership

Burlington MP and Government House Leader Karina Gould says she’s running to be the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
In a post made on social media Saturday around noon, Gould said that she was “here for Canada. I am here for you today, tomorrow and for years to come.”

The post follows leadership bid announcements from Chrystia Freeland and Mark Carney earlier this week.
Freeland also posted a video on social media Saturday saying, “Donald Trump doesn’t like me very much.”
She says she is ready to “fight for Canadians.”
