The two best senior high school football squads in the region went toe-to-toe in Burlington Tuesday for the Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference title.

Despite a valiant effort from Ancaster’s Bishop Tonnos Titans, the Corpus Christi Longhorns from Burlington walked away with a 35-21 victory. The matchup was a rematch of last year’s championship that was also won by Corpus Christi.

In last week’s semi-finals, the Longhorns dusted Georgetown 57-18, while the Titans clinched a 39-18 victory over the Assumption Crusaders.

Following Tuesday’s win, Corpus Christi will advance to the OFSAA Football Bowl Series in Windsor, which runs from Nov. 25 to 27.
