Burlington’s City Council votes unanimously, declaring a climate emergency

Earlier this week, Burlington’s city council voted unanimously to declare a climate emergency. Burlington joins numerous cities around the world, including Hamilton.
It’s in response to the recent findings by the international panel on climate change. It says we have only 12 years to keep global warming to a maximum of 1.5 degrees.
Burlington Mayor, Marianne Meed Ward and Councillor Rory Nisan joined Nicole Martin in studio.
