The city of Burlington is offering free sports and play equipment rentals this summer.

Hockey sticks, tennis rackets, ladder toss and croquet sets are just some of the items available to borrow.

“You or your kids might find a new favourite activity they really like and want to pursue further,” said Denise Beard, manager of community development.

“Now that we have casual use of our parks, it’s another great opportunity to get out and play outside.”

You have to book online to reserve your item, which will be available at the Brant Hills Community Centre.

Equipment will be available for pickup on Tuesdays. Returns are due on Mondays.

The city says equipment will be thoroughly sanitized between uses to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
