Burlington families still recovering after flood

It’s been almost two weeks, yet volunteers are still helping families recover from the storm that flooded thousands of basements in Burlington on August 4th.

On Saturday elected officials were on the streets petitioning for donations.

Burlington’s fire chief and the head of the Firefighters’ Union were seen cleaning sewage from post-flood possessions. They also installed new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Neighbours are helping each other during this difficult time by gathering donations for those in desperate need.
