Burlington asking for storm money

Burlington city council is expected to ask the province for help paying for the ice storm cleanup.

The Development and Infrastructure Committee has approved asking the province to declare Burlington a disaster area.

The city says that as of January 8th, the ice storm cost them $1.1 million. The cost is expected to rise as the cleanup and repairs continue into the spring.
