The Brantford Bulldogs hosted the Peterborough Petes on Sunday — marking the first time a Bulldogs Foundation game has been held at the Brantford Civic Centre.
While the game was taking place on the ice, spectators were able to take part in a 50/50 raffle and raise some money.
The Bulldogs Foundation’s primary purpose is the promotion of healthy, active and empowered youth by providing funds to non-profit community groups and by supporting educational and community programs.
The money raised from the 50/50 draw goes towards educational, wellness and community programs. “the Bulldogs Foundation utilizes signature fundraising events to help generate its revenues by partnering with many corporate and individual supporters,” reads its website.
