The Hamilton Bulldogs raised $30,000 to donate to the Marcus Cirillo Trust Fund through their military appreciation night on Friday.

Marcus is the son of the late Cpl Nathan Cirillo, who was shot and killed while guarding the National War Memorial in Ottawa in October. The Bulldogs donated a portion of tickets from military appreciation night, as well as money raised through an online auction that included specialty jerseys, helmets and pant shells.

Members of Cpl Cirillo’s regiment, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, were on hand for Friday’s game.
