Bruce McArthur faces new murder charge

Accused serial killer Bruce McArthur is now facing a seventh murder charge, as Toronto police expand their investigation.
The new charge was announced as the 66-year-old landscaper appeared by video in a Toronto courtroom Wednesday morning.
The alleged victim has been identified as 42-year-old Abdulbasir Faizi.
Police believe Faizi was killed on or around Dec. 29, 2010.
At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Toronto Police said they are reviewing 15 homicide cold cases from 1975 to 1997 for a possible link to McArthur.
Officers will also search 75 locations linked to McArthur next month, based on tips from the public.
McArthur is already charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of six men who have connections to Toronto’s LGBTQ community.
Officials have recovered the remains of at least seven people from planters around a midtown Toronto home where McArthur worked.
He is scheduled to return to court Apr. 25.
McArthur has been in custody since his arrest in January.
