Bringing the Subway to Hamilton

The first subway rolled into Hamilton late this morning. No, the city isn’t getting subway service, but a film studio in Hamilton, Digital Canaries wanted the vintage rail car to use in future productions.

If you were passing over the Skyway bridge this morning and thought you saw a subway car rolling along side of you, you weren’t mistaken. The vintage subway was trucked from Toronto to the Digital Canaries studio on Sherman Avenue North.

Adam Atkinson gives us an inside look at the early 80’s rail car,  and if you look closely, you may recognize it from a recent Hollywood blockbuster.
