Brick Mansions

Brick Mansions is an action film directed by Camille Delamarre. The film is an English remake of the 2004 French film District 13. The film is set in a fictionalized Detroit that has resorted to building containment walls around crime-ridden apartment complexes too hot for the police to handle. Paul Walker stars as an undercover cop who must work alongside a former resident of the complex to take down a drug kingpin threatening to destroy the city. Brick Mansions is the last film Walker completed before his death in a car accident on November 30, 2013. Parkour, the popular French acrobatic movement, featured heavily in District 13 and was carried over to this American remake. To keep the authenticity of the parkour intact, David Belle was brought in to co-star. He is one of the original co-founders of the movement and starred in District 13.
