Brantford Police: teen drowned in Grand River

Brantford Police say a teen has drowned in the Grand River.

A 16-year-old male was seen going into the water Sunday afternoon and did not come out.

He was with friends at the time.

Officers found the teen’s body in the river.

They say they believe this was an accidental drowning.

Police are reminding residents to practice water safety to prevent injuries or drowning.
