Brantford police arrest two people in connection to drug investigation

Brantford police have arrested two people in relation to a three-month-long drug investigation.
Officers say the investigation targeted cocaine trafficking. They were able to identify a man and a woman who are believed to have sold cocaine in Brantford and the surrounding areas.
Police arrested the man on March 6 in the area of Dalhousie Street in Brantford and seized 7.2 grams of cocaine.
He was also found to have large amounts of Canadian money.
During a search of a home in Burford, police found 198 grams of suspected cocaine, Xanax tablets and a significant amount of cash.
As a result of the investigation, Brantford police have arrested a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Brantford.
The pair have been charged with multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
