Brantford man charged with manslaughter for selling cocaine and fentanyl

Brantford police have arrested a suspected drug dealer and charged him with manslaughter after allegedly trafficking cocaine and fentanyl which killed another Brantford man.
Police were called to an address on Nelson St. shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday to assist ambulance with a suspected overdose. The user, a 46-year-old man from Brantford, was transported to hospital where he later died.
Brantford police opened up their sudden death investigation and their investigation led them to 34 year old Andrew Allison of Brantford.
Police found and arrested the suspect in a Murray St. parking lot just after 6 p.m. on Monday. Police say Allison was carrying suspected crack cocaine, powder cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl.
He is facing several charges including manslaughter, possession and trafficking powdered cocaine and powdered fentanyl.
Police have a message to people trafficking any illegal substance, you are responsible for the people you sell drugs to and in the case of death, you will be charged with manslaughter.
