Brantford fraud arrest

The Hamilton Police and the Brantford Police joined forces to investigate spending irregularities by an employee of St. Leonard’s Community Services in Brantford. St. Leonard’s Community Services is an organization in Brantford that provides addiction, mental health and justice programs.

In February 2015, the Brantford Police Service was told about financial concerns after an internal financial review was conducted by St. Leonard’s Community Services. The Brantford Police Chief reached out to Hamilton Police to lead the investigation. The joint investigative team investigated the matter and has concluded a year-long investigation into financial irregularities.

Being a publicly funded entity, the Board of Directors and current Executive Director of St Leonard’s in Brantford, wished to ensure the proper accountability of all public funds and the Agency has provided their full cooperation throughout this investigation.

On June 8, 63 year old Willaim Sanderson of Tilsonburg was arrested and charged with theft by conversion and fraud over $5000
