Ongoing construction along Brant Avenue in Brantford is expected to disrupt traffic for the next three months, weather permitting.

The City of Brantford says there is work left to be completed on Brant Avenue as a part of the Downtown Revitalization Project.

As a result, lane closures and road restrictions are set to take place over the next three months.

Starting this week, road users can expect Brant Avenue between Dalhousie and Colborne streets to be reduced to two lanes, with one in each direction.

Meanwhile, Dalhousie Street between Bridge Street and Brant Avenue will be reduced to one lane, while Colborne Street will be closed at Brant Avenue.

Drivers can also expect the Lorne Bridge, west of Brant Avenue, to be reduced to one eastbound lane, while all westbound lanes will remain open.

City officials are advising road users to plan alternate routes and give themselves extra time.
