Brantford city council approves proposal for new sports, entertainment centre

The Brantford Bulldogs are getting a new home base.

Thursday night, Brantford city council unanimously approved a plan to build a new multi-million-dollar sports and entertainment centre.

The Ontario Hockey League’s Brantford Bulldogs will be the anchor tenant.

The new arena is slated to be built directly in front of the existing TD Civic Centre and comes with a $152-million price tag.

Construction is expected to begin early in the new year and wrap up sometime in 2028.
