Brampton man arrested following daytime shooting in Oakville

Halton police have arrested a 29-year-old Brampton man after a daytime shooting in Oakville Friday afternoon.

Authorities say on March 27 at approximately 12:05 p.m., a man travelling in a vehicle fired multiple shots at another vehicle travelling behind him on Progress Court near South Service Road.

No one was struck or injured in the shooting.

Officers say the man who fired the weapon fled eastbound on the South Service Road towards Fourth Line.

Following an investigation, Justin Tasevski was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Two counts of attempted murder
  • Two counts of discharging a firearm with intent
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Failure to comply with a release order

Investigators say this shooting was targeted and are not looking for more suspects.

Authorities say they have not located the weapon used in the shooting and are asking anyone with information relevant to this investigation to contact police at 905-825-4777, ext. 4776.
