Bomb threat cancels after-school activities at Burlington’s Nelson High School

All after-school activities at Nelson High School in Burlington are cancelled Wednesday following a bomb threat during dismissal.

A spokesperson for Halton District School Board says it received the anonymous bomb threat over the phone around 2:40 p.m. when the school day ends.

Halton police ordered students and staff to evacuate the school.

Police immediately searched the high school in accordance with its bomb threat protocol.

Officers say no arrests have been made at this time.

The school board says it has notified families about the incident.
