Fire crews in British Columbia are getting a handle on a fire burning in a bog south of Vancouver, but conservation authorities there say it could take 100 years for the ecosystem to regenerate. A similar peat bog caught fire in Niagara region in 2012 and it burned for a month. Now conditions are so dry, the conservation authority is banning the public from going into the Wainfleet bog.

Lisa Hepfner was escorted into the bog today, to see the danger up close.
