Body of missing Welland woman found in Welland River: Niagara police

Niagara police say the body found in the Welland River earlier this month has been identified as missing Welland woman Maria Jagiello.

Jagiello, 65, left her home on the evening of Feb. 28. That was the last night she was seen.

A body was located in the Welland River, near Prince Charles Dr. and Colbeck Dr., on Mar. 12.

Police say the body has been identified as the missing woman.

They say foul play is not suspected and they won’t be releasing further details.
