A dead body was discovered today at Hamilton’s Devil’s Punch Bowl Conservation Area. EMS say they were called after a hiker spotted a person at the bottom of the falls.

Emergency crews initiated a rope rescue but called it off when it they determined the person was dead.

The Coroner’s office is investigating. Ridge Road between First Road and Upper Centennial Parkway was closed for a few hours but has since reopened.
