Blue Jays stay alive with Game 3 win
It’s another do-or-die game for the Blue Jays in Arlington, Texas this afternoon after a big win last night.
Troy Tulowitzki and Marco Estrada delivered just the lifeline the Jays needed as Toronto stayed alive with a 5-1 win over the Texas Rangers.
Tulowitzki silenced the home crowd with a three-run blast in the sixth inning to open up a 5-run lead while Estrada limited the Rangers to just one run over 6 and 1/3 innings. Tulo had been hitless in the series.
This afternoon R.A. Dickey gets the start against the team that drafted him back in 1996. There’s also much speculation that David Price could come on in relief if Dickey gets into trouble.
The Game 1 starter was seen warming up in the bullpen last night and could have entered that game.
If the Jays win, the fifth and deciding game in the series will be back in Toronto on Wednesday.
