Blue Jays to extend protective netting for 2018 season

The Toronto Blue Jays will extend protective netting at Rogers Centre for the 2018 season.
The netting will be extended to the outfield end of each dugout.
Existing netting behind home plate will also be replaced and increased in height.
According to the team, the new netting is designed to blend into the background and allow for greater visibility.
The changes will be in place for the Jays’ home opener against the New York Yankees on Mar. 29.
Last year, several teams announced plans to add more netting to better protect fans.
