Blacks closing

Blacks stores are about to go dark across the country. At one time Blacks was the place to go for cameras and getting your pictures developed but today, after being in business for 85 years, Blacks announced its closing all of its stores, taking customers, employees and mall managers by surprise.

Signs at the store entrance thank and tell customers the last day of business will be August 8th.

Blacks has 59 stores across Canada, with 485 employees. Most of them will be offered jobs at Telus and Koodo head office and retail locations, others will be offered buyouts.
