Bills’ Damar Hamlin in critical condition after cardiac arrest

The Buffalo Bills have updated the condition of 24-year-old Damar Hamlin – who collapsed during their game in Cincinnati last night.
Buffalo defensive back Hamlin was in critical condition after the Bills say his heart stopped after a tackle during the football game.
Players from both teams were visibly shaken and the game was eventually postponed.
The NFL released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying the game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will not be resumed this week.

Hamlin collapsed on the field during the first quarter of the game against Cincinnati Bengals. He was immediately given 20 minutes of medical treatment on the field before being sent to a hospital.

The Bills said in a statement in part, “Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment.”
Hamlin is currently sedated and listed in critical condition, with a few team members staying behind at the hospital.
