The owner of a Stoney Creek fish and pet store says they are temporarily reopening Friday at a smaller capacity, months after a fire badly damaged the building.

The Roua plus Food Mart in the plaza at 140 Centennial Pkwy. North caught fire on Feb. 12, at around 3:30 a.m, damaging the nearby businesses including Big Al’s Pet Supercentres.

No humans were reported injured, but the fire had caused the death of a number of fish at the pet store, but most animals in the were taken out safely.
