An overnight fire has destroyed a vacant house in Beamsville.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze by someone driving on the QEW. They say that, by the time they arrived, it appeared the fire had been active for quite some time. It took 35 firefighters almost two hours to battle the fire. Officials say it appears the home had been vacant for awhile. An investigation is underway.
