Bayshore Hobbies closing

After more than three decades in business catering to weekend warriors, wizards and gamers, Bayshore Hobbies in Hamilton’s west end is closing its doors.

The store started out as a hobby shop, but grew into a place for anime, fantasy roleplay and other basement games. For many of its customers the store was a refuge, especially teenagers attracted to gaming culture. The owner of the store says the rise of internet retail hurt sales, and she’s sorry to close shop.
