Attempted robbery at Oakville Sport Chek

Police in Oakville are looking for a suspect after an attempted robbery at knife point. Wednesday afternoon a man walked into a Sport Chek on Sir Winston Churchill Boulevard.

He threatened a cashier with a ten inch knife, demanding cash. When the employee alerted customers the man ran away.

He was caught on video surveillance. He’s about 40 to 50 years old, around 6’1″ with a dark mullet and a large tattoo on his upper left arm. He was carrying a black reusable back with a green logo.

Anyone with information is asked to call Halton police.
