NASA astronaut Scott Kelly is preparing to come back down to earth today after nearly a year in space. He’s been at the International Space Station longer than than any other U.S. Astronaut. This is his fourth mission in space. Kelly’s current mission has lasted 340 days.

After he lands, he’ll be flown to Houston on Wednesday. As soon as Kelly returns, he will try to pop up from a lying position and stand still for three minutes. He’ll take a crack at a mini-obstacle course and attempt to walk a straight line, heel to toe, all so researchers can see whether he’d hit the ground running if this were Mars instead of earth.
