ArcelorMittal Dofasco pleads guilty to pollution charges

Steel and mining company ArcelorMittal Dofasco has pleaded guilty to six air quality charges.
The incidents relate to the company’s three coke making plants. In March of 2013 Ontario’s environment ministry laid 13 charges against the company for exceeding the province’s visible emissions levels in 2012. Seven of the charges were withdrawn.
The company will pay $390,000 in fines.
