An appeal to overturn the 2015 manslaughter conviction of Haiden Suarez Noa

During the trial in Hamilton, Haiden Suarez Noa testified that he stabbed his girlfriend, Tania Cowell to death with a large knife while their infant son was nearby. But he argued that he didn’t intend to kill her.

The crown had been seeking a murder conviction and this week argued the reasons for appealing the verdict.
