Apartment fire claims a life

A fire in Mississauga killed one man and sent two others to hospital Sunday night.

Firefighters were called to a sixth floor apartment on Dixie Road, south of the QEW.

A Peel Regional Police officer and a security guard were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation, but have since been released.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in.
