Ancaster double robbery

A man’s been charged after a couple of armed robberies in Ancaster Tuesday night.

The first theft happened an Avondale store on Garner Road around 11pm.

Police say a man with a knife demanded cash, and took off in a car.

Minutes later, a man in a cowboy hat demanded money from an employee at a Tim Horton’s, not far from the Avondale store.

He was arrested in what police call a “high risk takedown.”

27 year old Brian Watson of Hamilton now faces several charges.
