Amtrak Maple Leaf train restarts Canadian service for first time since start of pandemic

Passengers are once again going to be able to cross the border on the Amtrak Maple Leaf. The train is restarting Canadian service Monday for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
Amtrak halted all of its Canadian service when governments on both sides of the border limited travel in hopes of stopping the spread of COVID-19. Now that both nations lifted bans on non-essential travel and eased testing requirements, Amtrak is back in full service.
Travelers will still have to show proof of vaccination to enter the United States and use the ArriveCAN app to return to Canada, but there is no testing required to cross borders. Masks are also mandatory while on the train in Canada, but not in the U.S.
