Alternating lane closure Wednesday for Burlington Canal Lift Bridge maintenance

Drivers should expect delays Wednesday morning as portions of the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge are closed.

Public Services and Procurement Canada says maintenance work will be done on the bridge between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting.

During this time, one lane will be closed alternately and one lane will remain open in each direction.

It says there will be two flag persons on site to control traffic.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected.
