All QEW westbound lanes reopen at Third Line after motorcycle crash

All westbound lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way have reopened at Third Line in Oakville following a serious collision involving a motorcycle Wednesday morning.

OPP say they received reports of a crash around 9 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find a 61-year-old driver of a motorcycle suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle driver from Mississauga has been transported to hospital for treatment.

At this time it is believed at least one other vehicle was involved, but police have yet to confirm the exact number of vehicles involved.

The Traffic Support Unit is currently on scene for the ongoing investigation.
