All four of Ontario teachers’ unions to hold one day strike on Feb. 21

All four of Ontario’s major teachers’ union say they will stage a one-day walkout on Friday Feb. 21. About 5000 schools with more than 2 million students would be affected.

The news comes as hundreds of elementary teachers are protesting outside a downtown Toronto hotel today where Ontario’s education minister is speaking. Teachers filled the sidewalk outside the hotel, stretching nearly the entire block.
