Alan Thicke to be inducted into Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame

Alan Thicke will inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame on Friday.
The late actor will be celebrated as co-writer of the catchy opening numbers for prime time classics “The Facts of Life,” “Diff’rent Strokes,” and game show “Wheel of Fortune.”
He is best recognized as TV dad Jason Seaver on the hit sitcom “Growing Pains.”
Thicke grew up in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
He died of a heart attack in 2016 at the age of 69.
