AIDS walk at Gage Park

About 100 people turned out for the “AIDS walk” in Hamilton today – and for the first time in its 20-year history, it took place at Gage Park.

The event raises awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS. It also helps raise money for food programs, dinners and excursions that people impoverished by the illness often can’t afford.

About 1,100 people suffer from HIV/AIDS in the Hamilton-Halton area. The money raised will stay in this area.
